Methodology: Archaeozoology

Another marginalised aspect of burial inventories are ‘meals for the afterlife’, the food that is placed in the graves, most of which preserved as animal bones. Their archaeozoological analysis coupled with the one of human remains is paramount, as differences in engendered or age related consumptions are probable, though until presently significantly under researched in the ECB.
